We operate in an increasingly complex world.

Today's leaders must rise to the challenges of economic uncertainty, unprecedented technological change, and deepening social divisions.

All while building and motivating diverse, empathetic, and collaborative teams.

In addition to these challenges that all leaders face, WOMEN MUST ALSO OVERCOME INCESSANT SELF-DOUBT inflicted upon them by social conditioning.

This can look like:
-
Dogged imposter syndrome

-
Microaggressions and gaslighting designed to make women question themselves

-
Biased bosses who underestimate women's ability to lead

-
Watching women role models succumb to burnout or be pushed off the glass cliff and wondering if you're next

The good news is that WOMEN HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO LEAD in challenging times!

The American Psychological Association states that, "When more women are empowered to lead, everyone benefits. Decades of studies show women leaders help increase productivity, enhance collaboration, inspire organizational dedication, and improve fairness."

It all begs the question...
CAN WOMEN TRUST THEIR ABILITY TO LEAD IN A WORLD WHERE NO ONE HAS ALL THE ANSWERS?

Women attempt to combat the external causes of doubt by DEVELOPING EXPERTISE, PROTECTING THEIR TEAMS, & REMAINING HYPER-VIGILANT, but these tactics come at a cost.

The price is steep:
-
Perfectionistic tendencies

-
Anxiety, exhaustion, and overwhelm

-
Fear of failure that hinders innovation

-
Conflict avoidance

-
Stifling team performance

OUTDATED LEADERSHIP MODELS based on male leadership experiences OFFER LITTLE HELP for women in our modern landscape.
Given the broken rung, most women lack the mentorship, network, and permission to lead effectively while also feeling confident in their role.

This leaves women trying to piece together their own leadership methodologies.

Servant Leadership provides a starting point for women looking to cultivate safe and inclusive environments that protect the wellbeing of their teams. Unfortunately, when overlayed with gendered social conditioning, the Servant Leadership model often leads to self-sacrificing and toxic extremes for women in leadership.

How do women continue to rise to meet today's leadership challenges while CENTERING THEMSELVES AND THEIR WELLBEING?

Nicole Maaguo is a passionate advocate for women+ embracing their ambition. Why? Because the world needs more women+ in leadership, and it's abundantly clear that the status quo won't get us there.
As a woman in tech, Nicole has driven innovation at Fortune 100 companies, Forbes Top 100 charities, and served multiple start-ups that went on to successful exit. Over the course of her tech career, Nicole grew tired of watching talented women be routinely undervalued and underestimated. Now, as the Founder of Ambition Unboxed, she advances women in leadership by providing critical resources and support to mitigate the barriers women face as we rise.

What kind of childcare is provided and are there any limitations or restrictions?Cowo & Crèche offers on-premise childcare and early education programming for working parents. As working mothers ourselves, we understand that access to quality childcare can make or break a woman's professional development opportunities. That's why we are thrilled to partner with Cowo & Crèche to provide childcare for children 18 months and up during the event at no extra cost. You can learn more about Cowo & Crèche's childcare program here. Please note that anyone taking advantage of this childcare offering will be asked to sign a liability waiver with Cowo & Crèche. In order to ensure the appropriate caregiver to child ratio, we ask that all attendees needing childcare register and indicate their need no later than 11:59pm ET on April 16, 2024. We cannot guarantee childcare availability for registrations received after this deadline passes.
-

Does the workshop count as a business expense? Can I use my professional development budget to cover it?In many cases, the cost of training can be tax deductible or paid for/reimbursed by your employer. We've even got a templated letter for you to make it a little easier to ask your boss for funds to attend which you can find here. That said, we are not tax professionals and we encourage you to review the IRS rules and/or speak to an accountant to confirm eligibility. If we can provide additional information to support your cost justification please contact us at info@cultivateink.com.
